Seeking Truth

“Money won’t make you happy” — it’s a common social truth.

I don’t know about you but I’ve been broke and I’ve made some money. For me, having hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt on my head was really anxiety-inducing.

But with the help of money, I was able to remove a lot of my sources of unhappiness.

Like paying off my Dad’s debt — who has since 2019 been getting a good night's sleep — which in turn has helped me to stop worrying about his health because he’s had a heart attack and a brain stroke before his 60th b’day and currently lives with type-II diabetes.

Anyway, money deserves a separate post on itself.

But, as it turns out, depending on when and where you grew up, society tells us many lies disguised as social truths due to the consensus-seeking nature of groups — which may not necessarily be an individual truth for us.

See, we are 7.8 billion people in this world. All of us have unique fingerprints. No two people may be alike in their priorities or the experiences they’ve had.

So would it be fair to say that we all have a unique individual self, with our own unique genius that is waiting to manifest for many of us which could enable us to do great things in this world?

Wouldn’t it be a waste of our lives if we short-change ourselves by blindly following the lies society tells us instead of seeking our truth for ourselves?

Well since you’re still here, that’s what this newsletter (& podcast) is about.

Truth-seeking is a hard business.

You have to understand, with deep conviction, all the things that you’ve been programmed to misunderstand.

And then find the truth for yourself so that you can live your truth.
